Performs a variety of operations such as advanced die design and construction of progressive dies, and compound dies. Guidance to other associates in the construction, repair, and engineering changes in existing stamping dies. Have knowledge of safety and be able to design guards and safety devices for production situations. Be able to design and construct ergonomic tools for production associates. Be able to implement cost saving ideas through die constructions and assembly techniques. Work in a professional manner.

Closely concentrated mental and visual attention for planning and laying out work, and performing a wide variety of operations requiring a very high degree skill and accuracy.
